About me
Hi, my name is Nick Prah. I graduated from Northeastern University in the Spring of 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am currently pursuing my M.S. in Engineering Management at Northeastern, with an expected graduation of May 2024. While studying in my undergraduate program, I completed three 6-month co-ops, all in mechanical design engineering. My first co-op was at Massachusetts Materials Technologies where I worked on their new materials verification technology, followed by my second co-op working on autonomous underwater vehicles at Dive Technologies, and finally I worked at Greensight where I led the mechanical design initiative for a micro drone being developed for the National Science Foundation. You can read more about my co-ops and previous employment in the "work experience" section. I have always been passionate about mechanical design and how things work; from an early age I was intrigued by engines and all things with wheels, wings, or propellers. This interest has led me to complete multiple personal projects involving different aspects of mechanical design and modeling, wiring, 3D printing, problem solving, and hands on wrenching in my spare time, which have made me confident that mechanical engineering is the right career for me. Here is a bit more about me, my experiences, and my work!
